Hal Bacon, the former owner of the Payne Rod Company, has introduced some quality made, moderately priced, classically designed reels. Mr. Bacon's reels are perfect for that classic look on any bamboo or graphite fly rod, and at a very affordable price!.

The reel frames, feet and handles are anodized with a champagne color to resemble antique nickel-silver. The front and back plates are anodized a deep black. The handles are Delrin with anodized aluminum counter weights. The drive system uses a stainless steel spindle and bearing on each mounting plate to provide smooth operation. The drag system has a stainless steel cam action pawl and all drag component parts are made of stainless steel or marine brass and lubricated with the best available waterproof grease. All reels have a twenty-five year warrantee against any defects in materials and workmanship. The perfect Fly reel to compliment any Bamboo Fly Rod!
